The one closest to us is called Pinetop Country Club and it's a private course managed by Troon so you have to be a member or be with a member to do anything with that one including their restaurant. We would love to join it and give our guests access to try it out but as of now they don't allow members to give guests a pass, you need to be with a member to play, etc. If you are a member at another Troon course, your membership may allow you to play, you'll have to contact the course directly for more information. WINTER WARNING: While the home is on a paved road that is maintained by the county, it's one of the last to be plowed if we get snow and at one of the highest elevations in the area, so we recommend a 4 Wheel Drive vehicle if you have one and you're renting the home in the winter. Nestled in the woods along a Troon golf course is just the escape to peace and quiet you need. Our family has deeply enjoyed this secluded get away for several years. We have been coming to the White mountains for decades and love all that it has to offer. There are tons of trails for ATV's, hikers, and biking and of course some great fishing. In the winter time there is the beauty of the snow covered landscape and we are about 30 minutes from Sunrise Ski resort for skiing or zip lining. The town of Pinetop is quaint and endearing. One of our favorite past times is heading onto the golf course after it closes to hang out with family and play volleyball, badminton, throw frisbees, footballs and enjoy the gorgeous view! The property has 2 bedrooms, both with king beds. In the loft is 4 twin trundle beds and can sleep 7 comfortably. There is a full bath upstairs and also one downstairs. Included is wifi, smart TV's with access to Roku, Netflix, Vudu, Hulu, etc ready to sign into your accounts. The dining table is also a pool table with pool sticks located in the dining table bench. There is a large bbq located on the back deck which is hooked to natural gas. No worries of running out of gas for grilling! The large back deck is a place to enjoy the sunset or the cool mountain breeze. Relax and take a nap in the pines in the included hammocks or unplug and hangout....there are plenty of board games and things to do for the family, like hanging out by the fire pit and roasting marshmallows for s’mores. The kids can enjoy exploring the half-acre wooded lot and watching the squirrels that regularly visit. After a long day of skiing, snowboarding, sledding or just playing on the golf course in the snow, you can warm up with a cup of hot cocoa easily with the Kuerig. This room opens up to a comfortable covered deck overlooking the picturesque golf course and pine trees where meals and drinks can be enjoyed. The dining room seats 8, there's 4 bar stools, and outside seating for 10 on the patio. It has gas central heat to warm up or wood burning fireplaces in the main room and master bedroom. And in the summer crank up the central Air Conditioning for those warmer summer days. There is cable and Wifi throughout the home. Large flat screen TV's are in the lower main family room and master bedroom, and 3 bedrooms have 32 inch smart TV's. (Only 4 TV's will operate at a time through Direct TV, but you can stream movies onto the smart TV's) Purifiers are installed in the ductwork, and an ozone in the main room. The purifiers have been thoroughly tested and designed to kill most airborne and surface viruses, bacteria, and spores. It also reduces common allergy triggers from pollen, mold, dander, and dust. Sleeping Quarters: The home has an open floor plan that offers sleeping for many adults and children, a large family, or multiple families. The lower level offers 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom features a king bed and connecting master bathroom with jetted jacuzzi tub, spacious closet, and a cozy fireplace. The outdoor jacuzzi is conveniently located right out the sliding glass doors. Also, downstairs there are 2 bedrooms that share a large bathroom. The kitchen has a table seating 4, plus 2 barstools at the counter. The kids game room has 1 queen sleeper sofa (sleeps 2 people) and boasts a professional grade air hockey table, and large tv. Total the downstairs unit sleeps 6 people. The upstairs unit consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a bar/ entertainment room, kitchen and dining room. The master bedroom is equipped with 1 king size bed +tv (sleeps 2). The upstairs bunk room is equipped with 2 queen sized bunk beds (sleeps 8). So much fun for kids! The upstairs tower room is equipped with 1 king size bed (sleeps 2). Our entertainment room is equipped with a bar (with a wine fridge and separate small bar fridge, so bring your own booze!) and a poker/"table pool" table, regular pool table as well as a TV, sofa and chair. This room is ideal for your having fun. The kitchen area in the upstairs unit is also equipped with a tv and a beautiful fire place. The dining room seats 8 people at the table comfortably. We are excited to share our property with you, but ask that you respect it. We want you to have fun, and enjoy your time, but please know this is our family cabin. We do not allow events or large gatherings. We can only sleep 18 and thus no more than 18 people should ever be on the property at any time. Also, please remember that this is a place we bring our children to on the weekends and enjoy our family time together as well, thus we want to make sure the property stays in excellent condition! NOTE: Parties of less than 16 guests will not have access to the blankets and linens provided for the sofa sleepers. If your guest count is over 16, we will provide you with access to the linens and blankets for the sofa sleepers. Nightly rates are based on a 2 person occupancy. Guests over a count of 2 will be charged a fee of $5 per person per night. Thus if you had 4 guests total for your reservation, you would be charged an additional $10 per night. This fee is charged at the time of booking and you will see it displayed appropriately. (Therefore you will not be charge this fee after booking unless you add additional guests to your reservation). We are not responsible for you getting stuck or unable to make it to our cabin due to weather conditions and road conditions. Make sure to plan ahead! Sales Tax Notification: We must remit a 2% sales tax to the stat of AZ. This is SEPARATE from the taxes VRBO charges. This 2% tax will be assessed after you book and will be charged accordingly. We can not clean each and every item between each reservation. Thus you are using kitchen supplies that have not gone through the WHO recommended COVID-19 disinfectant process. All dishes and kitchen supplies are cleaned and put away upon your arrival, however may have been cleaned by previous guests. Thus we leave you with dish-soap to clean any and all of the dishes to your liking. Shoes are also to be removed at the entrance to prevent the spread of COVID-19 throughout the cabin. We ask that guests abide by this rule during this pandemic. Lastly, due to COVID-19 we are unable to leave out additional bedding, throw blankets and additional towels. Each bed will have cleaned bedding, and each guest will be provided with one wash cloth and one towel. You will notice the loft area behind you is seemingly held up by the arms of the 20 foot tall ponderosa pine stretching from the ground floor up above the second story. The tree blends in with the lodge pole railings of the loft which overlooks all the action below! The loft is a hit with the kids as it include a plush reading chair as well as day bed that folds flat for extra sleeping (there is also a blow up mattress for further sleeping accomodations).
